The G12M Greenback, developed in the 60's, is the definitive vintage Celestion ceramic speaker. Known today simply as the 'Greenback' it paved the way for aggressive blues-rock guitar styles, led by a illustrious roster of legends ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Page.

It's smooth and warm, yet bright enough to hold its own against any live rock backline. Sometimes called the 'Brown Sound', its tone is characterised by a warm, woody, controlled low-end, a rich, vocal mid-range and a delicate, detailed top-end. It's perfect for achieving a rich vintage crunch, and excels in 4x12 applications when driven hard - exuding warm crunch chords and sweet searing single-notes.
