The Vintage 30 was developed to power the rise of 80's metal and hard rock players. It was built by coupling Celestion's 'H' (heavy) magnet with a new modern cone and voice coil, and capable of handling the increased power and drive of hod-rodded amplifiers.

Its sound is characterised by complex overtones, a warm low-end, a rich vocal mid-range and a gloriously detailed top-end. Used singly, it reveals in full definition the tonal textures of hand-wired boutique amps. In a 4x12 configuation it delivers a wonderfully intricate crunch carrying layers of sonic depth and dimensionality. The Vintage 30 remains the de-facto metal workhorse of the modern era.
